Oftentimes we gauge our happiness on how much money we have or don't have. Truly money allows us to do the things we need to do like pay bills, buy groceries, and perhaps maintain a lifestyle we've become accustomed to. What money can't do is make you a better steward or give you the freedom and happiness only God can provide, this is a mindset with a heart after God. Stewardship is defined in Webster's Dictionary as: "utilizing and managing all resources God provides for the glory of God and the betterment of His creation." i.e. your money, your time, your gifts and your talents. It is only the "Lord that gives us the ability to get wealth" so what do you figure He is thinking when you spend your tithe on a designer suit? What is He thinking when you angrily come to give a few hours of your time to the Ministry knowing you'd rather be elsewhere, yet someone dearly needs the gift that has been bestowed upon you? Pray about being a good steward and really understanding it. You may already be an awesome steward or maybe you've had some challenges; either way let the Lord lead you. Your forecast is looking brighter already. Here's to SUNNY days and a few on the beach!
Read the parable of the talents: Matthew 25:14-30, Holy Bible.
