Counting the Cost

In every aspect of life, we must count the cost of our actions.

Luke 14:28 NIV “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?"

If I decide right now today, at the age of 52 that I want to be a millionaire in five years, I've got to count the cost. I know that many of us don't plan to fail yet we don't strategize to reach the goals we want. I can count exactly how much money I need to pay my bills at the end of each month, but I don't sit down and count the cost of becoming debt free by the end of the year. You counted the cost of that trip to South Beach, but you didn't count the cost of the anxiety that followed when you met your friends there.

I can choose salvation today for eternity tomorrow. I've counted the cost of not being in right relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and it's more than I want to bear.

Counting the cost isn't just about money.
